About Katherine Smith

As a true beach girl, Katherine was born in LA and has been boogie boarding her entire life. Though she grew up in the Valley, she eventually found her way back to the coast and married a surfer. Katherine has always believed that homes tell stories, and she’s been hooked on those stories for decades. With over 30 years of experience investing in Northern California and Santa Cruz County, and flipping properties in the San Francisco Bay Area, real estate isn’t just an interest—it’s part of her DNA.

Katherine brings this lifelong passion to the incredibly successful Strock Team, which ranks in the top 10 teams for eXp global and #5 in California. Last year alone, the team helped 247 families navigate transactions of every size, ranging from $5k to $24M.

Before stepping fully into real estate, Katherine spent nearly 30 years in high-tech sales in the Bay Area—evolving from hardware to software leadership and ultimately serving as a Director of Customer Success. That experience shaped her approach today: solutions-focused, deeply client-centered, and always ready to navigate challenges with creativity and calm confidence.

Her top strength lies in truly understanding her clients' needs and educating them on design and potential risks. She is dedicated to helping people make confident, informed decisions—a commitment that is central to her work. Combined with proactive communication and a knack for problem-solving, Katherine ensures the process is clear, strategic, and even fun.

Outside of real estate, you’ll find her soaking up the outdoors—hitting the beach, hiking, biking, swimming, or getting in her daily movement fix. She’s happiest spending time with her family and her faithful sidekick: Blake, her lovable doodle.
