About Katy LaPlante-Alper

Growing up in San Jose, Katy developed a deep appreciation for the diverse communities and unique properties that define the Bay Area. She pursued her undergraduate degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, initially focusing on business, a path she ultimately returned to with passion in the real estate world.

Before finding her true calling in real estate, Katy embarked on a varied and enriching journey. Her experiences as a recreational guide in the Redwoods, a personal trainer, a nanny, and even a barista while earning her master's degree, honed her strong interpersonal skills and adaptable nature. Most notably, her time as a middle school science and math teacher instilled in her a meticulous approach and a dedication to guiding others through complex processes – invaluable assets in the real estate journey.

Katy’s lifelong fascination with homes began early. She spent countless hours on Zillow, envisioning the lives unfolding within each property. That same sense of wonder struck her whenever she was in the car, a child in the back seat, as she imagined the lives lived in the homes they drove past. She understands that a home is more than just a structure; it's a sanctuary. This belief drives her commitment to helping clients find their own special haven. Known for her friendly demeanor and ability to connect with anyone, she approaches client relationships with warmth and genuine care, ensuring every individual feels supported and understood throughout their real estate experience.

Outside of real estate, Katy embraces an active and creative lifestyle. You can often find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband, whether surfing, hiking, or practicing yoga. She also channels her creativity into music, cooking, and painting.
