About Spencer Hays

Real Estate Agent Spencer Hays has been working in real estate since he was a child. He was raised in a family of real estate developers in Alexandria, Virginia, and is even said to be credited with selling is family’s home at the age of 10!

 

I moved here in 1988 to go to UCSC. Real Estate Agent Spencer Hays moved to Santa Cruz in 1995 and has been working as a licensed real estate agent in California for over 23 years. He spent 10 years at Coldwell Banker before starting his own company, Cruzhome Real Estate, in 2007. He has extensive experience in contract negotiations, contract administration, and closing transactions. He has twice been awarded the prestigious Green Building Award Plaque, earned an Accredited Buyer Representative Designation in 2000, and has been a Real Estate Broker since 2002. He enjoys working with buyers, sellers, and investors and guiding them seamlessly through the process. His years of professional experience, as well as a lifetime of personal investment in real estate, have given Spencer the expertise that sets him apart from other agents.

 

Beyond his career in real estate, Spencer is extremely involved in and passionate about the Santa Cruz community. He currently lives in Aptos with his two kids and has been involved in many community organizations including Adopt a Family, Toys for Tots, Second Harvest Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and the Santa Cruz Association of Santa Cruz Association of REALTORS® Housing Foundation. He’s been a core member of the Aptos public school sports program for years, coaching and supporting many school sports teams, and is an active athlete himself. He loves and cares about this community and would be thrilled to help get new homeowners settled here!
