The best coffee shop in Santa Cruz has to be 11th Hour Coffee, according to Ben. What’s cool about this place is that it’s a lot more than just a stop to grab java. There are tons of locally made wares (like this gorgeous flower Ben got for his daughter!), plenty of seating, and a cool bar called After Hours that serves up creative cocktails.
What started out as a coffee cart at local farmer’s markets quickly expanded into a permanent brick and morter near Downtown Santa Cruz – and then that expanded to include the surrounding retail space. Then that expanded to another location on the Westside of Santa Cruz. And we hear that 11th Hour is looking to expand into a new roasting warehouse and possibly add a storefront as well. So, it has been all growth for this coffee cart turned java Mecca.
In addition to the locations, the flagship 11th Hour Coffee has grown into an expansive hang out space that has the coffee bar, plant shop, seating area, micro storefront, and a cool new bar installation called After Hours. Not everyone is craving a cup of coffee after dinner, but closing out the night with a cool cocktail? Say less.
So, how about you? What do you think the best coffee shop in Santa Cruz is?
